Killing for a Living: The Craft of Writing Mystery, Suspense, and Horror

Through exploring your own manuscripts, the work of published authors, and class exercises, this course will explore casting, plotting, and developing the stories that keep us up at night. We will discuss how to flesh-out fully realized characters. We will work on creating believable (as opposed to realistic) situations in which to drop those hapless characters. And we will learn more about the suspense of mystery and the mystery of suspense.
Meets six Mondays from 6-9 PM between March 30th and May 4th.
