First, our giveaway question of the day!
When I think of science fiction “first contact” stories, the first one that comes to mind is one of Isaac Asimov’s lesser known works: Nemesis. I stumbled across this gem in one of my favorite hole-in-the-wall bookstores; if you haven’t read it yet, find a copy! It has one of the most interesting forms of sentient life I’ve read in classic science fiction.
Which book did Isaac Asimov write in response to criticism about his reluctance to write about aliens?
Answer in the comments below for a chance to win a signed copy of Never Go Home by Chris Rogers…and as a bonus, I’ll throw in a copy of Nemesis!
The Emissary blog tour stops for another review and a spotlight today.
4-star Review from Rockin’ Book Reviews:
“At the very beginning of this story, I was reminded of ‘The Host’ by Stephanie Meyers but soon the similarities were dismissed. Many of the characters in Emissary captured one’s heart…they seemed very real! Other characters reminded one of how evil and corrupt many are in our present world…They also seemed to real.
The writing of the book was done very well. It slid from one character to another between several character’s thoughts. I was amazed at how well she did that without losing the reader’s attention.”
