Chart House Press is excited about the upcoming release of a new novel by award-winning author Chris Rogers.
When EMISSARY RUELL arrives aboard Air Force One, ADDISON HALE, returning from her first campaign speech for re-election, has no idea she’s hosting an alien energy. Winning a second term is essential; her failure would send a message that neither women nor third-party candidates can be trusted to run the country. When VICE PRESIDENT ROLLINS is taken hostage in Kuhndu, Africa, Hale must focus on the crisis.
Ruell seizes this opportunity to demonstrate one of his two bargaining currencies, the skill for non-violent resolution, but his attempts fail miserably, and his presence causes extreme physical stress. Forced to relocate, he chooses Hale’s adversary, General SEF YAQOB, newly self-appointed ruler of Kuhndu, and hopes his mission is not lost.
Chris Rogers is a Texas-born novelist and writing teacher who still writes from her home state. She has taught mystery writing at the Rice University School of Continuing Studies, the University of Houston and in private master classes. Her stories and essays have appeared in, among others, Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine and Writer’s Digest magazine.
Chris is author of the Dixie Flannigan series, Bitch Factor, Rage Factor, Chill Factor and Slice of Life.
Emissary, published by Chart House Press, is scheduled to be released in December of 2014.
